# Feed

> Monitor recent trade activity across all tracked traders or only followed traders.

The Feed is the live activity surface for Centaur. It shows recent source-backed trade events from the tracked trader universe.

## Freshness

The first page of All can reuse results for up to 10 minutes. After 60 seconds, a visit triggers a refresh while showing the existing page. Open screens also check for published history changes and refresh when needed. Following, filtered feeds, and later pages use live reads.

## What it shows

Each feed item is built from a structured event and its related source context:

* trader identity
* asset and direction
* event type: open, increase, decrease, or close
* event time
* source message preview when available
* related position context when available

The Feed is optimized for monitoring what changed recently. Use Trader Profile or Asset Profile when you need deeper historical context.

## Scope

The Feed supports two scopes:

| Scope | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **All** | Recent activity across the visible tracked universe. |
| **Following** | Recent activity from traders or assets you follow. |

Use [Following](/platform/following) to manage the followed set.

## Filters

The Feed can be narrowed by asset class, asset, direction, and source scope. These filters change the visible feed; they do not change how Centaur extracts or classifies trades.

The asset class filter offers **All**, **Crypto**, **Stocks**, **Indices**, **Commodities**, and **FX**. Events on assets whose class resolves to Other appear under **All** but are not offered as a filter option.

## What not to infer

The Feed is not a complete ranking surface. A recent page of feed items should not be treated as:

* a full activity count for the universe
* a trader ranking
* a signal that no older activity exists
* proof that all source messages have linked structured events

For counts and performance, use discovery, profile, position, and stats surfaces.
